SPONSORED FITNESS CIRCUIT – WEDNESDAY 24TH FEBRUARY 2016
We are very excited to be welcoming GB Sprinter Rion Pierre to the school on Wednesday, 24th February. Rion has been competing since he was 14. Rion has many accolades from the U23 GB track and field team in the European Championships, including winning the Gold medal in the 4×100 Relay in 2009. Despite injury, Rion has been working hard and is well on track for competing in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.
Rion will be leading a sponsored fitness circuit with all our pupils, and will follow-up with a talk and question and answer session. The aim of the event is to inspire the pupils to take up sport generally, but just as importantly to encourage them to discover and then pursue their passion in life.

As the sponsorship form and online sponsorship page explain, much of the money that is raised will be used to buy sports equipment for the school, while also supporting GB athletes (including Paralympic athletes).
All sponsorship forms and money raised should be returned to the School Office on or before Wednesday, 2nd March at the latest.
Please also make sure that your child comes to school on the event day with their PE Kits!
(Swimming – There will be no swimming this day, this session being postponed until Wednesday 13th April).
