Dear Parents and Carers,
The Friends are delighted to be kicking off our 2019 events schedule with a Movies and Munchies Night on Friday 25th January from 3.30pm – approx 5.15pm. The School Council have decided that the film they would like the children to see is Paddington 2 which we think is an excellent choice! The film will be shown after celebration assembly. Mrs Turner has suggested that the children who are attending the film will have 10 minutes of outdoor time after the end of celebration assembly to enable the Friends to set up the hall.
Tickets will be available to buy in advance from the office and on the day, and will be priced at £1.50 to include entry to the film, a drink and popcorn. We will also be providing other refreshments such as doughnuts, crisps and fruit so please send your child into school with some pocket money if you would like them to have some refreshments. We are also inviting those parents who wish to do so to provide their children with a packed tea/snack. This is entirely optional and of course the snack must adhere to the school’s ‘no nuts’ policy.
In order to gauge the level of interest in the movie night and to help inform our catering requirements, please indicate here whether you would like your child to attend. Please enter your CHILD’S NAME and their CLASS. This is very important as it will enable us to safely sign your child in and out of the event:
For those children who are in after school club that day, if you would like your child to attend then please buy them a ticket and they will be taken over to the hall to watch the film and will be taken back to club when the film finishes. The film should be finished by around 5.15pm. For those children involved in the football after school club, they are welcome to join us after they have finished. Parents should come via the school office to collect their child from the hall.
We would also like to give the children the option to bring a onesie or comfy clothing to change into after school if they wish to watch the film in comfort.
