Now that we have our wonderful new club house, we are keen to promote its use for the benefit of the whole community. There are several ideas in the pipeline and one of which is to launch a regular Messy Church event, more than likely on a Saturday afternoon once every half term. Messy Church is an opportunity for families to gather who perhaps have not found other forms of church engaging or who don’t yet belong to a church.
Please find attached a poster advertising an event taking place at the community club house on Saturday 30th November 2019 at 2.00pm. Mrs Bleasdale (mum to Sasha) and our very own Mrs Stewart-Smythe are keen to launch Messy Church here at Chilton Foliat Primary School, with the support of the school and our clergy. The aim of the event on the 30th November is to invite all families from the whole community and further afield to come and see what Messy Church is all about. Messy Church is well established around the world and there is a lot of information available on the UK Messy Church website: www.messychurch.org.uk. One descriptions is that “Messy Church is a form of church for children and adults that involves creativity, celebration and hospitality”. All of our parents and carers and their extended families are very welcome to attend to find out more.
