Once again we are fortunate to have been given the opportunity to book a series of swimming lessons at Hungerford Leisure Centre from January 2020.
We have booked 10 swimming sessions, where the children will swim in ability groups. The swimming instructors will all be fully qualified instructors from Hungerford Leisure Centre.
We will be offering extra spaces on these sessions to Years 5 and 6 non-swimmers who are unable to swim 25 metres unaided. The swimming dates that have been arranged are as follows:

The children will travel to and from Hungerford Leisure Centre by coach. The coach will leave school at 1:30pm and will return for 3:30pm. The swimming lessons will begin promptly at 2:00pm.
The children will need to bring:
- Named swimming costume/trunks
- Named towel
- Named goggles
- A named bag to put all the required items in
We also request that Year 1 & 2 children wear jogging bottoms with school uniform tops on swimming Wednesdays along with easy fastening shoes to ease changing.
A contribution of £5.00 is required per session (£50.00 for the entire course of 10 sessions).
Please note that in the case of financial hardship, support may be available and a letter to Mrs Turner will be dealt with confidentially and sympathetically.
As you can imagine the cost of swimming from week to week does not vary – we have to provide the coach and swimming tutors irrespective of how many children attend each week. We are, therefore, asking you to pay even if your child misses a week due to illness, and for all parents to pay in advance for the 10 session course, using ParentPay.
