The Friends are delighted to announce that we are able to hold a fireworks display this year…with a difference. A very generous family at the school has offered us the use of their large garden for a fireworks display. We are incredibly grateful to them and excited to be able to bring this event to you all. We are working with our usual fireworks supplier so you can expect a very high standard as in previous years. Here are the key details:
- The fireworks display will take place on Friday 5th November. Arrival will be from 5.45pm with fireworks at 6.15pm.
- Tickets will be limited in number and once they are gone, they are gone. The cost will be £20 PER CAR.
- Only cars will be admitted, no people on foot.
- The location will be Lambourn Woodlands. Full details will be sent upon receipt of payment and ticket confirmation.
- Tickets can be purchased by sending £20 via the Friends Paypal: paypal.me/friendsofCF
- Please send your payment ‘Friends and Family’ to avoid fees otherwise your payment will be returned and no ticket will be issued. Remember to include your email address when you send the payment through and then directions/postcode will be sent to you.
- Tickets can be picked up from the office. You will need to show your ticket on arrival at the property so please keep it safe.
- No tickets will be available to purchase on the day and ticket sales will close the day before the event.
- Hot food and hot drinks will be available so please bring cash with you. We cannot guarantee that the card reader will work the whole time, so please have cash available if you wish to purchase refreshments.
As this event is being held off school grounds, please note the following instructions:
- Please take full responsibility for your children at all times in order to keep them safe on the night. Children must remain with their parents/carers and away from areas that are cordoned off and where cars are parked.
- Please stay within the cordoned off areas of the garden area for safety reasons.
- Please park as directed by the marshall on arriving at the property and observe the one-way system.
- Please bring your own torches.
- This event will NOT be publicly advertised. Please respect that and do not invite people from outside of the school community, other than close family members.
- There will be no bonfire, but there will be a fire pit, which will be roped off for safety reasons.
- Please do not bring sparklers to the event. Our school insurance does not cover us for injuries caused by sparklers.
- As always, we cannot run these kinds of events without volunteers. If you are able to help out on the night, or with setup/clearing away, then please email Rachel at friendsofchiltonfoliat@gmail.com.
