In order to provide the children in Roe and Fallow classes with a rich learning experience, we have planned and booked a Dinosaur Discovery Day. Instead of going out on a coach, we are bringing the experts into school. The whole day will be based around dinosaurs; where the children will take part in a fossil dig, examine a real life sized dinosaur exhibit, create a dinosaur stomp dance and even enjoy a dinosaur themed lunch curtesy, of Mrs Ody and Mrs Dobson.
We are sure that the experience will enrich the children’s learning and understanding of life in the distant past and provide them with super ideas and language for writing and other creative activities.
This special day is effectively an “internal” trip and the cost is being subsidised with thanks, through some Friends funding and class budget donation. However, it is necessary to ask for a voluntary contribution of £12.50 per child.
If you have any queries about the day or wish to order the school special lunch where you would normally be providing a packed lunch for your child, please ask either the office or your child’s class teacher.
