We are all looking forward to celebrating the Platinum Jubilee at school on Friday 27th May 2022. The Friends have been busy making all the arrangements and have publicised the event widely. As well as celebrating Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s 70 years on the throne, it will give us a long awaited opportunity to come together as a community.
As the event is taking place during the school day and we are expecting our neighbours and friends to join us, we will have to put arrangements in place to safeguard all our children. We need to know which parents/families will be coming so that we can hand over your child (ren) into your supervision for the afternoon. For those children whose parents/family member cannot attend, we will be dividing them into small groups and allocating them to a member
of staff so that they can be supervised between 2.00pm and 3.20pm.
Entry to the school grounds will be via the normal school green gate (outside the Admin Office). At the end of the event, no child will be allowed to leave the school premises without their parents or other nominated adult. If there are any changes to collection arrangements, the office must be informed the day before, Thursday 26th May, so that the changes can be marked on our official registers.
If you wish to take photographs of your children at the event, you are welcome to do so. However, I would urge you most strongly to use any images you may capture responsibly, particularly if sharing on social media.
With the above arrangements firmly in place, the school will know that it is carrying out its safeguarding responsibilities. Your cooperation to this end is much appreciated.
