Teaching Assistant Vacancies
Chilton Foliat Church of England Primary School are looking to recruit two new teaching assistants to come and join us in our happy, forward thinking and supportive primary school. The two part time roles will be based across the school.
- EYFS – Friday (5 hours)
- KS2 Year 3 & 4 – 5 mornings Monday to Friday (15 hours)
Working under the direction of a class teacher you will be expected to support the learning needs of the children in your care. The exact tasks may vary, for example working with small groups or individuals. As well as working with the class teacher, you will be expected to supervise the children at lunchtime if required. Previous experience of working with children and relevant qualifications are desirable, as well as the flexibility to cover for colleagues in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
Chilton Club Childcare – Play Leader or Play Assistant

Chilton Club Childcare are looking for staff to join their fabulous team as a Play Assistant or Play Leader to work at our After School club one or two days per week. Essential training will be provided although experience of working with primary school aged children and Paediatric First Aid is highly desirable.
Chilton Foliat is a small rural school. Our wraparound care is located on site in a purpose-built clubhouse with easy access to extensive grounds and play equipment. The club is led and managed by an enthusiastic team keen to deliver high quality childcare in an accessible and affordable way for pupils aged 4-11. We are committed to supporting working parents and the club is very popular. You would be joining a fantastic, motivated and enthusiastic team with the best interests of the children at heart. We are happy to accommodate applicants’ own children at the club without charge (age 3+) on days worked.
Our successful candidate will be a Play Assistant or Play Leader depending on experience and qualifications and help deliver our wraparound childcare service which runs from 3:20-6.00pm. Successful candidates will have a passion for high quality and enthusiastic childcare, be capable of using their own judgement and initiative with children and be a fantastic communicator who proactively takes on the commitments of the role
Hours: Approx. 3 – 6 hrs per week term time, with the option to help deliver holiday club and be part of our bank team for other days. Each shift starts at 3.00pm and finishes at 6.15pm to allow for setting up and clearing up.
