Pupil Roles and Responsibilities 2024 -2025
We are delighted to announce our elected members of our School Council and Class Councillors, Eco Committee, House Teams and members of our Collective Worship Committee. Each member will have an important role to play in shaping the kind of school we all want Chilton Foliat to be: a school where everyone is valued, has a voice to be listened to, and is respectful of all others. At regular meetings, our elected members will be responsible for bringing ideas, information and suggestions taken from the classmates they represent, to work democratically, to challenge and change our school for the better.
Here are some of the statements made by our prospective candidates as they were seeking election.
“I would like to share all my knowledge gained during my years at Chilton Foliat, explain what our school vision means and demonstrate our Christian values of thankfulness, courage and love.”
“I will always be a good role model and encourage the younger children to keep on going, even if it is tricky.”
“If I am voted for Headboy, I know I have big boots to fill and I will make the boots overflow!”
“If you are too shy or lack confidence or think your voice doesn’t matter, I will speak up for you because you matter a lot to me.”
“I promise to do my duty for the school and support people with their learning.”
“I will be dedicated to help make this school as best as it possibly can be and I humbly ask for your support, with thankfulness, courage and love.”
“One of my first jobs will be to regularly check if everyone is happy at playtime. As a happy school is a successful school.”
