Attainment at the end of Key Stage 1 and 2
We are pleased to share the results of this year’s Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 statutory assessments.
The government’s stretched expectations of children, has caused a lot of controversy in schools and in the public domain. We feel strongly that despite these changes, the children continue to make good progress due to the broad and balanced curriculum and of course the fun and enjoyment our amazing teaching staff deliver alongside it.
We are extremely proud of the children in our school and of the effort and positive attitude they show towards work, both at home and at school. It is these attributes, together with the important partnership between home and school that encourages the children to work hard and do their best.
Key Stage 1 Results
|% of expected attainment or above||86%||71%||72%||86%|
Teacher assessment coupled with test results show the Year 2 pupils have done extremely well.
Key Stage 2 Results
|READING||WRITING||GRAMMAR, PUNCTUATION & SPELLING||MATHS|
|% of expected attainment or above||75%||50%||63%||75%|
The Key Stage 2 results are based on the performance of our Year 6 pupils, which was a very small cohort again this year, and consequently each pupil’s results can heavily skew the data both upwards and downwards. They have done exceptionally well, particularly in reading and maths. The national average of those attaining the expected level in reading, writing and maths is 53%.
Thank you for your continued support.
