Mrs Pinnegar would like to share some information about a recent Year 5/6 class trip.
Pupils of Sika Class spent an informative (and sunny) day at Stonehenge, making links with the knowledge they have
learned so far this term. As well as exploring the Stone Circle itself, they were also able to explore. Neolithic huts, handle replica weapons and tools, as well as completing a quiz within the Discovery Exhibition Centre (which has been used to support English writing for the remainder of the term). The staff at Stonehenge commented on the fantastic behaviour of pupils, and even the Shuttle Bus Driver said ‘they are a credit to their school’. The staff in the Neolithic Huts were impressed by the good quality questions the pupils were asking, and the links they had made to the knowledge they had already learned in class. All the pupils agreed it was an amazing trip and were still positively buzzing when they stepped off the coach at school! Thank you Sika Class, you made the trip so enjoyable for myself, Mrs Armstrong and Mrs King!
