Eating in School

We are delighted to let you know that the new Hot Lunch Menus are live on the school ParentPay system!  A delicious and nutritious variety of hot food options are available each day, always hand made in our fabulous school kitchen by the marvelous Mrs Ody and the magnificent Mrs Dobson!  A variety of fresh fruit, vegetables and salads are always available each lunch time.

If your child has any specific food likes or dislikes, or special requirements for their portion sizes – then please do not hesitate to speak to the school office, we can pass any information or special requests onto the lovely kitchen team or they can call you directly to discuss your child’s individual needs. 

One of the really great things about Mrs Dobson and Mrs Ody, is that they get to know each child personally during the lunch time service.  They know that some children like smaller portions, some like extra vegetables, some cannot stand the sight of sweetcorn without tomato sauce and some have larger appetites. We are extremely lucky that all of our food is cooked here on site in our 5 Star hygiene rated school kitchen.  Mrs Ody and Mrs Dobson serve each child themselves and so are able to tailor each child’s portion size individually.

You are very welcome to log onto ParentPay at any point before midnight on Tuesday of the week before, to order a hot lunch for your child.  You can order lunches for every day of each week, just a few days each week or even just one day every year!  The system is extremely flexible and as long as you order by the Tuesday deadline of the week before you want your child to have a delicious hot school lunch, then you can pick and choose as you wish.

All Key Stage 1 lunches are free of charge, as part of the government’s universal free school meals provision.  Children in Key Stage 2 are charged £2.50 for a 2 course lunch, unless you qualify for Free School Meals.  If you think this may apply to your child, please do get in touch with the school office and we will be very happy to complete the relevant paperwork for you and will always ensure any financial queries are dealt with in complete confidentiality.
