Dear Parents and Carers,
We are pleased to announce the events running for World Book Day next week. As you can appreciate it will be a little different this year but there are plenty of live sessions planned for the children to work with famous authors and illustrators during the course of the week.
To ensure your children are able to participate within these exciting sessions, please sign up to the link on the attached plan for the week and your child’s class teachers will direct you to register with the appropriate sessions. As well as the planned live sessions, the teachers have also planned storytelling and making movie trailers of favourite books, to name but a few events taking place next week.
In addition to the planned events, we will also be running a sponsored read with Usbourne Books, there is a letter attached with further information about how your child can participate. The theme for this year’s Reading Event is ‘A River of Reading’ to support our vision and values of Love, Courage and Thankfulness. We will be creating a ‘River of Photographs’ from the children, showing their favourite reading places, and linking their choices of books and places to read with the school’s values.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact your child’s class teacher.
