After a Covid absence of two years, I am delighted to let you know that a primary school dance festival is being organised for Thursday 17th February 2022. Whilst not quite the same as the previous Marlborough based festivals, I am sure this opportunity will be just as good.
It will be a valuable opportunity to provide your child with a fun and engaging extra-curricular activity and I would like to ask your permission for your child to take part.
The details are as follows:
Rehearsals will take place in school on a Friday afternoon from 12.30pm to 1.30pm led by our ballet and dance teacher, Miss Charlotte Price. We expect there to be about 6 rehearsal sessions, the first of which begins next Friday, 21st January 2022. The rehearsals will take place in the club house. We will look at the diary and organise for extra rehearsal sessions as necessary.
The dance festival is taking place at Dauntsey’s School, West Lavington on Thursday 17th February 2022. We will be organising a coach to take our dancers, members of staff and some parent helpers, which will leave school at 1.00pm. On arrival, the dancers will have some rehearsal time, playtime, have an opportunity to eat their packed tea provided from home and then prepare for the show. The show starts at 6.00pm.
I await further details with regard ticket availability, the time the show is due to end and costume preparation. Any pupil that travels to the event by coach will be brought back to school by coach and can be collected from school at a time to be advised
We can take a maximum of 20 dancers.
